Welcome to Hyde Cottage B&B

Hyde Cottage Bed and Breakfast is conveniently situated just off the A351 between Wareham and Corfe Castle. On the outskirts of Stoborough, you will be staying in our lovely detached family home sitting within over an acre of garden.

The house is set in beautiful Purbeck countryside surrounded by heathland and woodland, where we are visited by Blue, Coal and Long tailed Tits, Lesser and Greater Spotted Woodpeckers, Bull Finches and Owls. Dartford Warblers nest on the Heath and the Nightjars usually arrive towards the end of May. Stoborough Heath and the Hardy Way can be accessed from our garden, and RSPB Arne is a ten minute drive away. We are keen walkers and can provide maps and books on the local area with help on what to do and how to get there.

A warm, friendly welcome awaits with refreshments on arrival, home cooked breakfasts with eggs from our free range hens, comfortable rooms and ample parking. I pride myself on personal service and attention to detail and am happy to assist in any way to make your holiday enjoyable.

Access is easy to local tourist attractions including Monkey World, Bovington Tank museum, Swanage Steam Railway, Historical Corfe Castle, Tyneham, Kimmeridge with its Clavell Tower and The Etches Museum, and Lulworth Cove as well as beautiful sandy beaches at Studland and fantastic walking along the South West Coast Path, Purbeck and Hardy Way. There's something very special about a walk to Winspit and a pint of Kiss Me Kate at the Square and Compass!

Nearby is the historic market town of Wareham which lies within Saxon walls and boasts a beautiful Saxon church alongside a picturesque quay. There's a mix of interesting shops, tourist information and a museum to browse before taking a boat trip on the river either upstream, or into Poole Harbour and onto Brownsea Island. Motor boats or Kayaks can also be hired or your car can be left at the cottage with the bus stop just five minutes away. Walking into Wareham takes 30 minutes. We are on Route Two of the National Cycle Network and have cycle hire nearby together with safe storage for your bikes.

We love living here and hope you can refresh with some of that Dorset magic, we look forward to meeting you!

We are strictly non-smoking and sorry, don't take pets.
